ABOUT US

The Southwest Springfield Neighbors Association is a group of persons committed to achieving good land use practices and solutions. Our primary focus is on the commercial corridor along Wabash Avenue west of Koke Mill Road in Springfield, where proposed “big box” development threatens to destroy the quality of life in the neighborhoods to the north. The threatened area is generally bounded by Wabash on the south, Koke Mill Road on the east, Old Jacksonville Road on the north and Lenhart Road on the west.

We are especially strong advocates for community involvement in land use decisions. Citizen participation is a vital component of sound land use planning.
